Jenna and Jason: Sheboygan, WI.

Jenna and Jason contacted me months ago while I was still living in Hawaii to see if I would be available for their 10.1.11 wedding at a golf course in Sheboygan, WI. Even though it was a long way from Hawaii, I jumped at the opportunity to capture such a gorgeous couple tying the knot among brightly colored fall leaves (side note: this now-California-girl forgot that there are actually seasons in the Midwest and had to stop and buy a jacket upon landing in Milwaukee!)

Going to the Midwest is such a treat for me - the weddings are so relaxed, rustic and authentic. Jenna and Jason are close friends of Ashley and Brian (whose gorgeous wedding I shot last summer) and I knew that with this group's aesthetic and enthusiasm, I wouldn't be let down. The flowers were beautifully arranged to fit the venue: Whistling Straits is a massive golf course with strategically overgrown grassy areas and free-roaming sheep to complement the old-country Irish vibe and stone buildings. Jason and his groomsmen spent the morning golfing while Jenna and her bridesmaids took over the women's PGA locker room as bridal party-prep command central complete with champagne and San Pellagrino. In the adjacent men's locker room, the boys took down Bud Lights and potato chips.

Jenna's dress was perfect in its simplicity and totally complimented the personality of this sweet, classic beauty. She wore nude patent leather pumps which her bridesmaids wrote "I DO" and sweet notes on the soles.

Throughout the entire day, Jenna and Jason showed such genuine love and seemed to really soak up the festivities without letting the schedule of things take over - which can happen so easily. During the ceremony, friends spoke and the couple played "Wedding Song" by Bob Dylan and the bridesmaids wore the groomsmen's jackets to fight off the brisk October chill.

After some portraits, the wedding party rushed in to the warm reception held inside a lofty barn with an attached tent to accommodate the couple's many guests. After toasts and dinner, the couple danced the night away to an awesome Talking Heads cover band.  I had an amazing weekend (I also covered Jenna and Jason's classy-rustic rehearsal dinner at Field to Fork: view post) with this great couple and love the pictures so much! It was hard to pick my favorites for this post.

 Congrats to the happy couple!
